Box files you select to migrate will be moved to SharePoint and OneDrive by 9:00 a.m. ET the following day. You can turn off your laptop for the evening.
Retains Box file collaborations
You will keep existing non-external file permissions from Box after the migration. External file permissions will not be retained and will need to be set up in SharePoint manually.
Prevents file duplication
No confusion over multiple copies of the same file after migration.
Saves your Box Notes
Box Notes are automatically converted into Word documents during the migration.

Migrating data is quicker than you may think. Box Migration App (BMA) makes it easy to move your data from Box to SharePoint and OneDrive.
Set up your new home
Get familiar with SharePoint and OneDrive and create your SharePoint site(s).
Schedule your move
Share your migration status with key collaborators so they know when the migration begins and ends.
Select what to move
On your scheduled move date, select the files you want to migrate from Box. Your files will be migrated by 8:00 a.m. ET the following day.
